searching for what has been missing -finding ways to:
Let's Improve on the riding
programs currently available
Do not ignore the GAP --too often ignored.
-
Real communication issues between horse and human.
-
Improve on the relationship
between your horses and riders, to increase rider awareness.
Eliminate the same ol' same ol'
hard work --in traditional riding lessons -for both
instructor and student!
Utilize a 'safety oriented'
program --not 'form oriented' program.
Good
FORM should be a result of 'educated experiences'
--not molding and holding a hard-line 'form'.
-
Teach your
riders to take good care of themselves, and the horse, not to just grip, hold or pull.
-
Remember 'Superman'.
That was an accident that could have been avoided!
Equalize your
students emotionally and/or mentally, no matter
what their physical riding abilities.
-
Let's eliminate
separatism, greed, and 'one-upmanship'
-
Find that simple, beautiful 'oneness'
-horse and student, as well as for your riding center.
Learn to serve,
and be a better example for learning from 'each other' --not from a person
or instructor.
-
NEVER FORGET
that we are all in this life together!
-
Learn to get along as well
as possible without elimination or exclusion due to financial status, color, or
religion.
Encourage your students, show
that you care.
-
Three-strikes
you are out program is useful --for those 'acting out'.
-
Then, give some special
time for those who need it.
-
Learn to hear the unheard
cry -from those who seem difficult, and don't know how to ask for help due to
their own low self esteem.
CREATE! Do not
just duplicate!
There is always another way --to get a point across.
Find interest, then use it.
It's ALL in
the attitude -and your own ability as a riding 'teacher' --not an instructor.
For an improved riding program -or
as a Wellness Program
--We can help develop or improve a program for you.

Excellence is an art won by
training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or
excellence,
but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what
we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
-- Aristotle
"Risk! Risk anything! Care no more for
the opinion of others, for those voices. Do the hardest thing on earth for
you. Act for yourself. Face the truth." -- Katherine Mansfield
"When you do the common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the
attention of the world." -- George Washington Carver

NOW, about living in a 'BOX'---
"There are two
kinds of men who never amount to much: those who cannot do what they are
told, and those who can do nothing else." -- Cyrus H. Curtis
I was told: "You can't get along with York County Pa.
[Business, and agencies], because --they can't put you in a box"
I was then told "Then, you will have to do it alone". I
said "that is what I would do, and it would be MY PLEASURE!"
We will make our own footsteps --as necessary.
