CHEMICAL EMOTIONS or CORPORATE ‘RAPE’

Many riding clients are bottled up with nerves, frustrations and water re-'tension'.

Not only do we coaches have the physical to work with, we have the emotional as well.

Too often, our clients are victim to junk food, what we call "Corporate Chemical Rape’.  They are ingesting preservatives, food coloring, additives (addict-ives) and all other kinds of things to make food taste good, and make us crave them.

Business is also responsible for subliminal advertising. The quick flash of words, or pictures on the television, to get our thoughts on the products, business plan to sell.

Emotions run high for victims of this type of abuse, and with the additional baggage of added chemicals, and their side effects (i.e., bloating), we have even more challenges.  We compound our own problems, with 'other' issues that we must get past.

First the client must realize there is ‘something’ wrong, and want to find it --to be rid of it.

It is a difficult task to empower an individual who has found any kind of comfort in their current position or situation of daily junk food, or by drinking the poison they put into our drinking water (fluoride --chemical waste that our government gets rid of through the human filtering system --our kidneys.  No wonder there are so many kidney transplants).  We must find a way to ‘bump’ or nudge that addictive desire out!  One way --is to recognize the truth of what we are really consuming.  Another thing are the fats that we can ONLY very slowly digest --trans-fat, for --'The Broadening of America'.

When teaching or Coaching riding, it may be necessary to push this client to the limits of discomfort, and even tears of fear and frustration.

IMPORTANT!  Just before their discomfort makes them ready to dismount, we must stop what we are doing, and face the client, and keep talking to distract them.  In a caring way, begin to back away again, to restart a couple of minutes after the rider seems more steady.

Great caution is needed, as this could be the end of all sessions -if this is handled improperly!  Trust from the client, is crucial, as is the support of your friendship!

Don’t make any mistake. DO NOT go farther than you feel comfortable with. A clients well-being is always the guide.

VITAL!  IF you sense that a client is getting near a 'place' where you are not comfortable, and distraction is not working --you MUST STOP and refer that client to a psycho-analyst, psychologist or another mental health professional.  You must KNOW YOUR LIMITS as a Coach!

The rider is ‘afraid of letting go’ of the emotions that have been stuffed away, and protected by their ownership of those situations. They slowly begin to realize that their behavior is a 'habit --through experienced coaching --that is now entering into a consultation!  The emotions can now be ‘screaming’ to get out this last time, for good.  Clients snow something is not right!  Timing is critical.  If they relax too long, they might get too confident.  The point here, is to keep them on the edge, until they start to ‘leak’ the tears that need to come out, even if only a few.  That is a starting point for letting go of hidden memories.

To help this client tear, not in fear -but in submission to those ‘stuffed emotions’ is a very delicate process, and must be handled by an experienced coach/consultant or therapist, who know the client, and the horses, as well. We seek to train therapists etc to work this program. Nothing can go wrong!

This is a good time to mention that anyone in therapy, would benefit by having their therapist speak to the Coach, or even be present at this important session.  The therapist can assist the Coach or Riding Consultant, and between the two, and with the inter-actions of the horse --

you can work wonders with the client --who do their own healing.

The client is the 'healer'

The Riding Consultant is only an assistant to the client!
