Our Story
Year 2000 --a decision of PURE FAITH!
The decision was before us. Do we only have half a program with another public horse business --just to continue to exist?
OR, do we 'listen' to the hearts and wishes --of our own clients who said: "It would not be the same!"
So --we decided to follow the Divine Path of 'Faith' --to find 'a better way' to best serve.
The Program was/is a 'Gift from God'. Rose acquired the horses.
Strange as it seems, the day came, when ALL of the horses stood perfectly still --in the indoor arena of our last facility. There was a 'Divine Presence' there. They KNEW! I had to leave them to continue doing what I had to do, and that, was to find the way to use what they had taught me, to help so many more. That day, I realized they gave me their permission --to leave them!
My family --of over 40 years. I had to walk away for what --I did not know. All I knew, was that I must! To cling on to what I loved so dearly, was now not an option. I didn't know HOW I could do all that was in front of me --alone, yet I must continue to move this forward! I also knew, that God had a 'bigger plan' for me, and the program. Exactly what it was, I was not sure. I only knew, that I had to place one foot -in front of another, and walk away from them.
Years earlier, I was 'gifted' and blessed with a divine message, that was proven to me, at that time.
Faith --without feet, is dead! Did I believe that? I had to prove myself --to my God.
YES! I DO BELIEVE in 'The Promise'.
So, I walked away.
I did not know what God had for me. I only Trusted Him! I do admit --that I could 'feel & see' the vultures on the fence', however I simply walked past them, and never walking backward. I do so --with a smile!
The horses will always be my family. Sometimes we must separate --for awhile. People do die, and what would happen then? It was as if I died! I left them, and part of me died! WE STAND FIRM -in perfect faith and trust in him. Our Program is 'His' Program! And, I do know that we will be together again.

For years, I was on absolute work overload, and needed the time -to sort out all that was learned over the past years. This work had to be documented, not to be lost --before moving forward again. This was absolute! After filtering information into their many categories, the plan became more clear.
Organizational structure was complex. The re-structuring of information, including programs had to be completed. This work can only be completed by the by me, who 'received' the original program content.
The founder will now teach -coach and mentor others -those approved by her, who would like to participate with our programs, so they can help others at their own private facilities, or elsewhere. The wish of our own clients was to have small facilities, for their privacy and healing. So now, we have found the way to help so many more in need -and in many different places. We accept this awesome challenge -to help create small private programs -for every Community, County, and in every State. Perhaps beyond, as we become better established.

Clients loved our work with them, they knew that everyone who came had a real need to be in the program. It was a family!
A difficult question in 2000--"Do we sell the horses, separate them from their own family, to get the needed funds, to walk away from a facility, loved dearly by the clients, but not supported by a community who did not understand our 'cutting edge program' --just to have money in our hands?
It was suggested that we sell the horses --over and over again. Selling was an impossible decision for me to to make -in complete respect for the horses. How could I sell my family? Plus, I would hear really stupid questions about them like --What can they do"? I have always answered this with "whatever you are capable of asking of them". They are not push-buttons like what many try to turn their horses into. I could not watch this turmoil invade my horses true nature.
They MUST stay together, as long as they can, because they will soon have several 'huge adjustments' to go through. That would be 'people college', to find out what so-called normal people are really like. Our relation was more on a spiritual level -with complete understanding of one another in complete trust. No human expectation to disturb their true nature. This would change for them.
Trust God!
We decided to simply 'WALK AWAY' -with nothing, except the office and personal items --rather than see them sold or separated.

Could it be that 'one day' it will be possible --to return this 'family of horses' back together, placed in a TRUST -set up by the founder just for them!
The greatest dream of the founder is to see those horses live their lives in the safety of each other --who gave so much of themselves -for others. They could continue in the environment that they loved -helping others through Horse Holiday Programs.

August 30, 2000 The Founder of Horse Holiday made the decision to allow Horse Holiday to rest, relieving the founder from overwhelming workload and personal sacrifice. ---Dec 15, 2001
January 2001 --we realized the 'H.H. Structure' needed more work.
DEC. 16, 2001, --the Candle ignited once again, due to the memory of smiling faces, --from those we have helped in the past.
We decided to see our 'VISION' to completion. the plan is becoming more clear now. Tons of work to do.
Soft Touch Quantum Horsemanship (STQH) is a--'Service' Program --to create Coaches and to help people.
We also need many smaller facilities, as suggested by our clients.
We must teach how 'To Coach' programs. We need MORE HH Consultants, to work with clients!
We will broaden our 'Horse Holiday' horizons,
We must reach every Community, and County --in every State.
We must find the way to best teach those who want to join our journey.
We will then need a 'Teaching Facility' for Horse Holiday Conferences, Workshops and Seminars, so we can continue to grow, and to stay --on the 'cutting edge'.
2004. We are again being searched for --by those 'called'.
