What goes on behind the 'eyes' of
the horse that you ride? What does the horse think of you, or how you are
handling them? What do they think of
their trainer? What do you really
expect from the horse, or your riding?
Have you ever asked yourself
these questions, and do you know why you even want to ride?
Are you riding to get rid of the
stress -related to
family quarrels, work related issues, money or
just wanting 'more' than we have?
What
is it that gets in the way of new riders, that
makes learning to ride cumbersome? Is
there more to this than meets the 'I want to ride' statement?
Taking
riding 'lessons' should be fun, however,
there are things that seem to interfere
with progress. Are you learning from a
'business oriented' riding 'instructor'? Are
you learning what you want and need to
learn? Do you know why you are doing what you are doing?
Do you hear answers to
questions like:
"Because --that's how it is done, that's why!"
"Because
it's the 'right way' to do it"

Get answers, not just a regimented exercise program on horseback.
Both horse & rider get tired!
How many hours --is the horse working hard with traditional (work-work-work)
lessons in a day?
Do you
want to or need to ride a horse that is overworked? Do you really want to
kick them to get them going?
So, what is wrong here?
