A Tribute to my True Friend..
When 'Something' is missing in your life
and the pieces are hard to fit together.
Owning or raising a horse of your own,
and sitting deep in the saddle,
seeing all of 'Life's Beauty' just passing you by,
Moving --moving --moving --with the greatest of ease.
Standing still --completely still --still.
Completely, and perfectly still, waiting for the trees to talk to you,
the clouds to lift you, and the flowers, to lace themselves around your shoulders,
giving off their fragrance, breathing softly -and deeply.
It's you and your horse, just the two of you,
and there are no feelings of loneliness,
no desires for human comfort.
You are comfort! You are peace! You are free!
So alive and in total wonder at Life.
Your horse just absorbs --the pure essence of life,
--and you can feel the absolute energy of living this very moment,
right there --through the saddle.
There is nothing else --just being...
All that was --before this moment, has washed away,
returning like the waves --against the sandy shore --gone again ---washed away,
returning once more, seeking considerable attention,
as an intrusion -to your 'oneness' with the all, turning away from them
-to hold those moments Grace, wishing that this -were Eternity.
The returning waves --a little softer now.
You give your praise --for the moments spent,
--your glimpse at the eternal ---waiting for your return,
